Cover the Brown to Bring Back Blue
Here's a way you can help reduce particulate pollution, and it's right in your own yard. Make sure that you've covered any exposed dirt in your yard with grass, groundcover, or mulch. Covering the dirt keeps it out of the air and out of your lungs. There are other benefits, too. Covering the ground with gravel, for example, will keep the ground cooler and will help it retain moisture so you won't have to water or maintain it. So cover up that brown dirt and help bring back the blue skies. For other easy things you can do to Bring Back Blue, check out the Dirty Dozen on the BringBackBlue.org website. Answers to Your QuestionsThe Bring Back Blue website has added two new sections to keep you informed about air pollution. In the Questions, Answers, Myths, and Facts section, we address some
common questions about the causes and effects of pollution, and dispel some common misunderstandings, as well. In the News is an index of local news articles about air
quality in Maricopa County and the efforts being undertaken to improve it. Take a few minutes today to explore these new sections.
