County Recognizes Companies for Boosting Air Quality
The Air Quality Honor Roll was created in an effort to identify regulated entities and/or individuals who go above and beyond meeting air quality rules and regulations. Qualifying companies are found during inspections conducted by the Maricopa County Air Quality Department.
The following specific site locations have been nominated for this month’s Air Quality Honor Roll:

“The Superintendent on site calls me every two weeks to give me an update on the 35th Avenue bridge project and asks my opinion about dust control,” reported Joseph Zumello, Maricopa County Air Quality Department Dust Inspector. “He takes dust control very seriously and is pleasant to work with.”
Jeff Berg, a stationary source inspector, commented about his recent visit to Newport Cleaners. “The supervisor jumped up and down when I arrived on site because she was excited to be inspected.” This company was also nominated for their exceptional logs and for knowing all of the rules pertaining to the business.
